Recommend dish: Rice paper “lui”
Ingredients:
- 200 grams of ground pork
- ½ carrot
- ⅓ cassava
- 3 mushrooms
- Green onions
- Fried shallots (optional)
- Vegetable oil
- Sugar
- Monosodium glutamate (MSG)
- Lien Thanh Red Label Fish Sauce
- Salt
- Broth mix
- Fried garlic
- Tamarind juice
Instructions:
Step 1: Make the filling
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the ground pork and cook until browned.
- Add the cassava, carrots, mushrooms, and green onions and cook for 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
- Add 2 teaspoons of fish sauce, 2 teaspoons of sugar, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of MSG.
- Add the fried shallots and cook until the mixture is well combined.
Step 2: Make the fish sauce
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the fried garlic, 100ml of tamarind juice, 2 tablespoons of Liên Thành red label fish sauce, ½ teaspoon of fish sauce, 1 tablespoon of chili sauce, and pepper.
- Add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch or tapioca starch dissolved in water to the fish sauce mixture to thicken the sauce.
Step 3: Roll the rice paper
- Soak the rice paper in water until it is soft and pliable.
- Place 1 tablespoon of the filling from step 1 in the center of the rice paper.
- Roll the rice paper up tightly.
Step 4: Serve and enjoy
Serve the rolled rice paper on a plate with a dipping sauce. Enjoy!
