Founded with the mission of Duy Tan
Năm 1906, binspired by Mr. Phan Chu Trinh’s spirit of Duy Tan in a previous reunion, six patriotic scholars in Binh Thuan founded Liên Thành Thương Quán, one of three organizations:
– Duc Thanh Hoc Hieu to “open people’s minds”.
– Lien Thanh Thu Xa to “follow the people’s spirit”.
– Lien Thanh Thuong Quan for “the future of the people”.
The name Lien Thanh, meaning lotus flower, is the old name of Binh Thuan, chosen to express pride in the land, the red elephant symbol was chosen to express the desire to awaken the nation, both by the herd behavior. herd, equal to the strength of elephants.
Part of the nation’s history
Starting from a business establishment in Phan Thiet, Lien Thanh gradually developed production and business establishments in Mui Ne, Phan Ri, Hoi An and in 1917, moved the General Headquarters to Cho Lon. By 1920, Lien Thanh opened a chemical laboratory, thereby ensuring the quality of products to spread throughout Central Vietnam, Cochinchina and Nam Vang.
In 1911, Lien Thanh helped Mr. Nguyen Tat Thanh – President Ho Chi Minh – in the process of traveling from Phan Thiet to Saigon and boarding a ship abroad. During the business period until 1975, Lien Thanh was recognized for many contributions to the Duy Tan movement, Dong Du Viet Minh and the Secret Liberation Movement.

In 1979, Mr. Huynh Van Dau – the Attorney General who succeeded his ancestors – agreed to donate Lien Thanh to the State on the condition that he retain the name Lien Thanh and the altar of the six ancestors, thereby retaining both the brand and pride. for the next person.
In 2001, Lien Thanh was equitized with the most valuable capital being that intangible heritage. With the realization that the old mission has ended, Lien Thanh’s effort is to create a national fish sauce to preserve the spirit of the ancients.
